The private cloud matures: Hyper-V 2012 R2 and SPLA

2014: we renewed processors, moved to Hyper-V 2012 R2 and signed the Microsoft SPLA agreement that introduced pay-as-you-go licensing.

We are upgrading our high-performance private virtual hosting system (private cloud) with faster processors and a new version of the operating system.

  • New processing cores: 24 cores at 3.33 GHz and 24 MB of cache in a NUMA architecture.
  • New Windows 2012 R2 / Hyper V 2012 R2 for second-generation virtual machines.

We have signed a contract with Microsoft, running until the end of 2017, as members of the SPLA programme for service providers.

This means we can offer you pay-as-you-go licences, billed monthly.

Highlights include licensing for:

  • Dynamics AX
  • Dynamics CRM
  • Dynamics NAV
  • Exchange
  • Forefront
  • Office
  • Remote Desktop Services
  • Sharepoint
  • SQL Server
  • System Center
  • Windows Server

Today, in 2026

That 2014 SPLA is the same programme under which we license Windows Server and SQL Server on our IaaS platform today — pay-as-you-go, with no upfront investment for the client. More than a decade of continuity in the model.
