The leap to Amsterdam — and the first Dells
September 2007: our debut at the Databarn data centre in Schiphol, and eight days later we announced our first Dell PowerEdge servers.
We are adding the high-connectivity Easynet DC Schiphol data centre to our network, connected through the DUOCAST and EuroAccess links, which include connections to: AboveNet, ADIX, AMS-IX, BNIX, Carrier 1, CJ2, Cogent, ColoProvider, Concepts ICT, EasyNet, Essent Kabelcom, euNetworks, EuroAccess, FiberRing B.V., GlobalCrossing, GN-IX, i-Netboys, Interoute, Joint Transit, KPN IS, LeaseWeb, LINX, NetHolding, NL-IX, NY-IIX, Open Peering, Panap, Proxio, Swiftway, TeliaSonera.
We are adding to our server network the Dell PE 860 machines, with the following main specifications:

Today, in 2026
Databarn — the trading name of the Easynet DC Schiphol mentioned in the text — was where we learned what a serious data centre demands: redundant power, diesel, aisle cooling. Almost two decades later, that same standard is what we applied when choosing the Barcelona data centre where our platform lives.
